Ukrainian sunflower oil prices on rise on global market - analysts

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - The demand and prices for Ukrainian sunflower oil are growing on the global market, and rose in price by $30-$38 per tonne over the past week, Ukrainian media reported, citing the APK-Inform information and analytical agency, which conducted its own monitoring.

"The Ukrainian sunflower oil export market was dominated by price growth amid similar trends on the global market of vegetable oils. Thus, demand prices for Ukrainian sunflower oil at the ports reached their all-time highs since the beginning of the 2023-2024 season and as of March 18 are mostly recorded within a range of $780-$795 per tonne CPT port. This is $30-$38 per tonne higher than the previous week's prices," the analysts said.

Additionally, the sunflower oil exports reached 156,000 tonnes last week, which is up 9% week-on-week, APK-Inform said.
