Russian airlines see passenger turnover rise 13% YoY in February 2024

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Russian airlines saw total passenger turnover rise 13% year-on-year to 18.8 billion passenger-kilometers in February 2024, according to data from the Federal Agency for Air Transport (Rosaviatsia) that Interfax has analyzed.

The figure increased nearly 7% to around 11.3 billion passenger-kilometers on domestic routes, and 24% to 7.6 billion passenger-kilometers on international routes.

Airlines saw passenger traffic rise nearly 10% to 7.2 million travelers in February, with 5.4 million passengers flying domestically, a rise of 6.7%, and 1.8 million passengers flying internationally, growth of 20.8%.

As reported, passenger traffic of the Aeroflot group , which unites the airline of the same name and Pobeda Airlines and Rossiya Airlines, grew 23.2% to 3.7 million travelers in February.
