Rosinter starts rebranding its Costa Coffee shops as Lalibela Coffee

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - PJSC Rosinter Restaurants will develop a chain of coffee shops under the new Lalibela Coffee trademark, the company said in a statement.

The chain will be developed in partnership with Russian full-cycle natural coffee producer, Lalibela Coffee LLC.

The first coffee shop under the new name was opened on March 16. The company plans to launch 10 new coffee shops as a pilot project this year, after which it will decide on further steps to develop the chain.

The coffee shops will be opened in former Costa Coffee outlets, which Rosinter operated as a franchise since 2012. Starting January 1, 2023, British coffee brand Costa Coffee suspended its operations in Russia, after which Rosinter temporarily renamed the chain Coffee.

Rosinter's coffee shop portfolio includes 19 outlets in Moscow, as well as at the largest airports and train stations in Moscow and Kazan. Lalibela Coffee will operate in seating and take-out service formats.

PJSC Rosinter Restaurants Holding is one of Russia's largest operators in the casual dining segment. The company operates more than 200 restaurants in 30 cities in Russia and neighboring countries.

The company has developed its own trademarks IL Patio, Planet Sushi, Shikari, American Bar and Grill, Mama Russia, and Lalibela Coffee (coffee shops), while also managing the TGI Fridays franchised chain of restaurants. Rosinter shares are traded on the MOEX.
