Russian presidential election results to be summed up officially on March 21 - CEC

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - The results of the Russian presidential election will be summed up officially at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, Russian Central Elections Commission (CEC) Chair Ella Pamfilova said.

"We plan to hold an official meeting of the CEC at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 21, at which all results will be summed up officially," Pamfilova said at a press briefing at the CEC on Monday.

"The country is huge. Apart from that, we are summing up the results using the Vybory state automated system. We need to receive documents from all places where voting was held. This requires some time. Everything must be done transparently and accurately. Therefore, we've measured and analyzed our capabilities. It will be Thursday, March 21," she said.

Russia held its presidential election over three days on March 15-17.
