Ukraine pulls out of railway agreement with Belarus

MOSCOW. March 18 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Cabinet decided at a meeting on Friday to withdraw from an agreement with the Belarusian government on railway transport, Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement the Cabinet's representative in parliament Taras Melnichuk made on Telegram.

The agreement, which the two countries signed in Kiev on December 17, 1992, stipulated that they would apply common standards to the operation of their railway transport, manufacture and maintenance of rolling stock and equipment, ensuring traffic safety and preservation of freight.
