NATO notes Ukraine's progress on path to alliance membership - annual report

BRUSSELS. March 14 (Interfax) - NATO allies have noted the increasingly close integration with and progress made by Ukraine in its reforms on its path to joining the alliance, and are committed to helping the country advance towards NATO membership, the bloc said in its annual report for 2023 which was published on Thursday.

"Ukraine has become increasingly interoperable [with NATO] and politically integrated with the Alliance," the report said.

"The Alliance is committed to supporting Ukraine in making these reforms on its path towards future membership and to regularly assessing progress," it said.

Ukraine will be invited into NATO once the allies have reached a consensus on the issue and Kiev has met all the conditions set, the document said.
