Russia adds nearly 230 U.S. citizens to its sanctions list
MOSCOW. March 14 (Interfax) - A total of 227 U.S. citizens have been included in Russia's sanctions list, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Thursday.
The measure imposes "a ban on entry to the Russian Federation for 227 Americans involved in devising, fulfilling and justifying the Russophobic policy of the current U.S. administration and also directly involved in anti-Russian acts," the ministry said in a statement on its website.
"These are specific individuals in the executive branch of government, the business community, media and academic circles who regularly engage in hostile invectives or spread speculation and blatant slander regarding Russia's foreign and domestic policy," it said.
The list of sanctioned U.S. citizens is available for viewing on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website.
