Moldovan FM ready to add dynamics to Ukraine-Moldova-Romania triangle

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - Moldovan Foreign Minister Mihai Popsoi has said he stands ready to give a new impetus to the fruitful interaction of the Moldova-Ukraine-Romania format.

"In this respect, we discussed aspects of beneficial cooperation between our three countries," Ukrainian media quoted Popsoi as saying a joint press conference with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba in Kiev on Wednesday.

"We will develop cooperation within the Ukraine-Moldova-Romania triangle," Kuleba said.

"We discussed specific measures and steps on this track. One of the subjects of our interaction will be promoting trade, infrastructure, and security cooperation," he said.

In turn, Popsoi said that Moldova and Ukraine made a substantial progress towards European integration. It was decided to intensify information exchange on best practices in this field, he said.

"We believe that we are fully prepared to actually start EU accession negotiations in the near future," he said.
