Peskov: Exact dates of Putin's visit to Turkey to be coordinated promptly

MOSCOW. March 13 (Interfax) - The exact dates of Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey are so far unknown, but will be coordinated promptly, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Journalists asked Peskov on Wednesday to comment on a statement by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, who said he was expecting Putin's visit to Turkey to take place after the Turkish municipal elections due in late March.

They asked whether Putin might pay the visit in April.

"The exact dates of such contacts are so far unknown, but they will be coordinated quite promptly through diplomatic channels," Peskov said.

"The visit has been prepared for a long time," he said.

"We are also looking forward to this visit, we're waiting for the summit contacts. There are lots of relevant topics, above all our bilateral relations, trade and economic relations, and numerous issues that require the attention of the heads of state, and of course, global and regional affairs," Peskov said.
