IAEA rotates inspectors at Zaporozhye NPP

ROSTOV-ON-DON. March 12 (Interfax) - A rotation of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors has taken place at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP), facility representatives said on Tuesday.

"The latest rotation of IAEA mission monitors took place at the Zaporozhye NPP today," the Zaporozhye NPP said on its Telegram channel.

The new IAEA team consists of four inspectors from Canada, Slovakia, South Korea and Spain.

"Their task, as before, is to monitor and assess the safety and security of the Zaporozhye NPP," it said.

This is the 17th rotation of IAEA staff at the Zaporozhye NPP since September 1, 2022. The previous rotation of IAEA inspectors was on February 7, 2024, during a visit by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.
