Investment company BlackRock reduces its share in Polymetal to 4%
MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - Investment company BlackRock , the second largest shareholder of Polymetal , reduced its stake 3.43 percentage points, to just over 4%.
Polymetal said in a statement that the shares were sold on the market on March 4 at $3.8 per share. The value of the transaction was estimated at $61.8 million.
Polymetal announced on Monday that it had closed a deal to sell its Russian business. The company remains the second largest gold producer in Kazakhstan. Polymetal's largest shareholder is a consortium of Omani investors led by the Mercury Investments International fund owned by the Omani government (23.9%), with 75% of the shares publicly traded on the Astana and Moscow stock exchanges.
