Armenian PM: If peace treaty is signed, Yerevan and Baku could mutually withdraw lawsuits from int'l courts

YEREVAN. March 12 (Interfax) - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has not ruled out the possibility of withdrawing lawsuits against Azerbaijan from international courts if Yerevan and Baku sign a peace treaty.

"This issue has been discussed and is now being discussed during negotiations. Our stance is the following: the possibility of withdrawing the lawsuits from international courts may be discussed at the very end of the process, when the peace treaty provisions are agreed and it becomes obvious that the sides are ready to sign it. This is logical. If a peace treaty is being signed, why continue judicial wars against each other?" Pashinyan said at a press conference on Tuesday.

If Armenia and Azerbaijan agree on the text of a peace treaty and if they "reach the point of signing it, I don't rule out that both sides could accept this solution. I will see it as logical," he said.
