Sergei Shalimov named head of Gazprom's largest production subsidiary

MOSCOW. March 12 (Interfax) - The former deputy general director for production at Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg LLC, Sergei Shalimov has been appointed general director of Gazprom Dobycha Yamburg LLC, Russian gas giant Gazprom reported.

Shalimov will succeed Andrei Kasyanenko, who had headed Gazprom's largest production subsidiary since December 2021.

Shalimov, who was born in Orenburg in 1977, graduated from the Orenburg branch of Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas with a degree in oil and gas field development. He worked at Orenburggeofizika LLC before joining Orenburggazprom/Gazprom Dobycha Orenburg as an oil and gas production operator in 2000 and working his way up to deputy general director.

In addition, Gazprom Dobycha Irkutsk LLC chief engineer and first deputy general director Alexei Darymov has been promoted to general director of this company, succeeding Andrei Tatarinov.

Darymov, who was born in 1981, graduated from the Bryansk State Technical University and Tyumen State Oil and Gas University. He joined Gazprom Dobycha Irkutsk in 2021, prior to which he worked at Tyumentransgaz LLC and Gazprom Dobycha Nadym LLC, where he worked his way up to the position of chief engineer and first deputy general director.

Gazprom also said that Gazprom Gaznadzor LLC chief engineer and deputy general director Yevgeny Abramov has been promoted to general director of this company.
