Ukraine to receive Ukraine Facility tranche worth 4.5 bln euro in March, 1.5 bln euro in April

MOSCOW. March 11 (Interfax) - Ukraine will receive the first tranche as part of the Ukraine Facility program worth 4.5 billion euros this March, and the second tranche totaling 1.5 billion euros will arrive in April, Executive Vice President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis said.

"We are finalising the mechanism of support for Ukraine known as the Ukraine Facility," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Dombrovskis as saying at a joint press briefing with Ukrainian Premier Denis Shmygal in Kiev on March 8.

As reported, the European Parliament approved the 50-billion-euro Ukraine Facility for 2024-2027. The funds will support Ukraine and its reforms for the sake of eventual admission to the European Union.
