Deputy Armenian, Azerbaijani PMs hold 7th meeting, exchange opinions on state border delimitation
YEREVAN. March 7 (Interfax) - The deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan have held another meeting at the two countries' borders as part of the work of the commissions on delimitation.
"The seventh meeting of the commission on state border delimitation and border security between the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan and the state commission on state border delimitation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia chaired by Armenian Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan and Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev took place on March 7," the Armenian Foreign Ministry said. It stated that the two sides exchanged opinions on delimitation issues and began approving a draft provision on the joint activities of the commission on state border delimitation and border security between Armenia and Azerbaijan and the state commission on state border delimitation between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and also discussed corresponding draft instructions on delimitation procedures.
"The sides agreed to complete the approval of the draft provision on the commissions' joint work within the shortest possible period of time. The sides also agreed to set the date and venue of the next meeting of the commissions at the operational level," the ministry said.
The Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry released an identical statement on the results of the meeting.
The sides exchanged opinions on delimitation issues and began approving a draft provision on the joint activities of the state commission, and also discussed the corresponding draft instructions on delimitation procedures, the ministry said.
