Peace with Azerbaijan politically, economically profitable - Armenian FM

YEREVAN. March 7 (Interfax) - The establishment of peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be profitable not only from the political viewpoint, but also economically, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan said.

"Armenia remains committed to the peace agenda. There are a number of key issues, but the most important of them is mutual recognition by the countries of each other's territorial integrity and further process of delimitation and demarcation of the borders based on the 1991 Almaty Declaration," Mirzoyan said at a joint press conference with Cypriot Foreign Minister Constantinos Kombos in Yerevan on Thursday.

Using these principles, Armenia and Azerbaijan "achieved accord at the highest level, which is confirmed in the statements following the meetings in Prague, Sochi and Brussels," he said.

"We believe the establishment of peace based on these principles will be favorable to the countries not only from a political viewpoint, but will also be profitable economically," Mirzoyan said.
