DCH Group's Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant slashes roll output 71.4%, boosts coke 50% in 2M

MOSCOW. March 7 (Interfax) - Dneprovsky Metallurgical Plant (DMP), part of Ukrainian businessman Alexander Yaroslavsky's DCH Group, reduced steel roll output 71.4% year-on-year in January-February to 5,300 tonnes, Ukrainian media reported, quoting a company statement.

Metallurgical coke production rose 50% year-on-year to 45,300 tonnes.

Roll production fell 44.4% year-on-year in February to 5,300 tonnes - DMP did not produce any roll in January - and coke production rose 60% to 22,700 tonnes.

"The plant started producing roll again in February following maintenance in January. It plans to double metal product output in March compared with February," the company said.

DMP ramped up production of rolled products 86.2% to 105,600 tonnes and metallurgical coke 38.5% to 292,700 tonnes in 2023.

DMP specializes in semi-finished products and structural steel.

DMP unites the former Petrovsky Dnepropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant and Dneprokoks.
