Ukraine's international reserves decreased 3.8% in Feb

MOSCOW. March 6 (Interfax) - Ukraine's international reserves decreased 3.8%, or $1.47 billion in February, to $37.052 billion, Ukrainian media reported, citing the National Bank of Ukraine's Telegram channel.

"This dynamic is due to the NBU's foreign exchange interventions to maintain exchange rate stability and the country's debt payments in foreign currency, which were partially offset by receipts from international partners," the statement said.

Net sales of foreign currency by the regulator in February totaled $1.51 billion, which is 28.6% less than in January.

In addition, the statement says that $1.34 billion was transferred to accounts held by the Cabinet of Ministers at the NBU in February, while government payments for servicing and repayment of the national debt reached $1.13 billion.

The current volume of international reserves provides financing for 4.9 months of future imports, the NBU said.
