Kazakh PM urges speedy rollout of National Digital Investment Platform

ASTANA. March 5 (Interfax) - Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has urged the speedy rollout of the National Digital Investment Platform.

"There's no unified framework for state support measures. Introducing a single digital platform is crucial to improve investor convenience. The Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Digitalization must swiftly launch the National Digital Investment Platform to consolidate all types of preferences for investors," Bektenov said at a government meeting on Tuesday.

The prime minister said that with the National Digital Investment Platform, administrative procedures will speed up and investor obstacles will diminish.

He also asked ministries to analyze support measures and suggest improvements. He instructed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Kazakh Invest to detail a plan for foreign investment, while Baiterek Holding was urged to enhance co-financing efforts.

The National Digital Investment Platform has so far been piloted in Kazakhstan. It will cater to entrepreneurs, government bodies, financial institutions, and the quasi-public sector and will include government services tailored to investors in Kazakhstan. Its features include online monitoring of investment project stages and automated application submissions for investments.
