New national projects announced by Putin to launch in 2025, Youth of Russia this year - Deputy PM Golikova

MOSCOW. March 4 (Interfax) - The new national projects declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin will be launched on January 1, 2025, except for the Youth of Russia national project, which should begin in 2024, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova said.

"All the plans [concerning the implementation of the new national projects] start from January 1, 2025, except for one national project, Youth of Russia, which we should launch this year, because it is actually going to be a support mechanism we're adopting now, which is at a high level of readiness and which implies a new strategy for developing youth policy," Golikova told journalists at Russia Expo at the VDNKh national exhibition center in Moscow on Monday.

All currently implemented national projects will be adjusted to new priorities the president set out in his recent address to the Federal Assembly, she said.

In his annual address to the Federal Assembly, President Putin announced the launch of five new national projects, i.e. Family, Personnel, Youth of Russia, Data Economy, and Lengthy and Active Life.
