Rosatom introduces stage 2 of Trunovskaya wind farm in Stavropol region
STAVROPOL. March 4 (Interfax) - Rosatom has put the second stage of the 95-MW Trunovskaya wind power plant into operation, an Interfax correspondent present at the launch on Monday reported.
"Today we are introducing stage 2 of the Trunovskaya wind farm; its total output will be 250 million kWh per year provided by 38 wind turbines. The total investment in the Trunovskaya wind farm is over 12 billion rubles," Ivan Kovalev, Minister of Energy, Industry and Communications of Stavropol Territory, told reporters.
In the Stavropol region, seven wind farms with a total capacity of 765 MW have been commissioned in cooperation with Rosatom, the minister said. The volume of investment in is about 100 billion rubles.
"The Trunovskaya wind power plant is Rosatom's ninth wind farm. With the commissioning of the station, the total installed capacity of our company's implemented projects have exceeded 1 GW," Grigory Nazarov, General Director of Rosatom's wind energy division said.
Last year, Rosatom commissioned the first stage of the Trunovskaya wind farm with a capacity of 60 MW in the Stavropol region and brought the Kuzminskaya wind farm to its full 160 MW capacity. The construction of these wind farms is included in the list of five "breakthrough" projects in the region.
