IAEA's Grossi expects to come to Russia on March 5

BRUSSELS. March 4 (Interfax) - International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi has confirmed that he plans to visit Russia on Tuesday, March 5.

"In principle, yes," Grossi said on Monday, when asked by a journalist, "And you'll leave tomorrow, correct?"

In keeping with diplomatic traditions, "I should leave the announcements to my Russia hosts," he said.

Grossi said he expected to discuss the situation at the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

"For me it's very important to be able to discuss with him some technical points [...], I want to have an impression what the plans there and to be able to put across some important points," he said.

Speaking at a press briefing at the Zaporozhye NPP in February, Grossi said the situation at the plant had improved.
