Rusal replaces managing director of Achinsk Alumina Refinery

KRASNOYARSK. March 4 (Interfax) - Vitaly Prigarin has been appointed managing director of the Achinsk Alumina Refinery (owned by JSC Rusal Achinsk) as of March 2, the press service of the enterprise said.

He replaces Evgeny Zhukov in this post, who will continue to work at Rusal in a different position.

"The personnel changes took place as part of Rusal enterprises' rotation program for managers and are aimed at the effective implementation of the company's projects," the statement said.

Prigarin previously served as director of the production system development department of Rusal's alumina division, the press service said.

The Achinsk Alumina Refinery is one of the largest alumina production enterprises in Russia, company data show. The enterprise's capacity as of 2019 was 1.069 million tonnes of alumina per year. Data that is more recent is not available.
