Ukraine to sever agreement with Russia on cooperation in preventing industrial accidents, catastrophes, natural disasters
MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has proposed that the Verkhovna Rada terminate the Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in preventing industrial accidents, catastrophes, and natural disasters.
Meeting on Friday, the government approved a bill on terminating the intergovernmental agreement between Ukraine and Russia on cooperation in preventing industrial accidents, catastrophes, and natural disasters and in mitigating their consequences, which was signed in Moscow on April 23, 1997, Ukrainian media reported with reference to Taras Melnichuk, the government's representative at the Rada.
