Rosselkhoznadzor uncovers violations during import of caviar from Armenia and meat products from Belarus
MOSCOW. March 1 (Interfax) - During laboratory monitoring, Rosselkhoznadzor revealed violations in supplies of red caviar from Armenia and meat products from Belarus.
The service said it had found coliform bacteria in red caviar from Armenian company Max Fish. Therefore, it has introduced temporary restrictions on caviar supplied by this producer.
In addition, antibacterial drugs ketoprofen, meloxicam and flunixin were found in canned meat produced by Belarusian Belfood Production LLC. Regulations prohibit the presence of these drugs in canned food.
Rosselkhoznadzor has decided to introduce enhanced laboratory control of products from this producer.
A similar measure was taken against Belarus's Mogilev Raipo company due to the discovery of listeria in frozen blocks of the producer's trimmed beef.
