D&B Worldwide Network holds summit in Moscow with support from Interfax - D&B

The heads of the world‘s leading companies that specialize on credit risk information and are partners of the international Dun & Bradstreet Worldwide Network have conducted a meeting in Moscow to discuss issues related to global exchange of information on credit risks

The D&B summit, of which the Russian company Interfax- D&B was a co-organizer, determined the objectives in the area of the network‘s development for the next year and increasing the quality of information, taking into account the lessons learned from the world financial crisis.

Dun & Bradstreet and its 19 partners, including D&B, currently operates in over 190 countries. The network‘s united database contains standardized data on over 140 million legal entities, i.e., most of the companies operating in the world.

The system created by the partner companies helps businesses manage global economic and credit risks, check their counterparts, determine relations between companies, and analyze payment discipline.

Among the participants in the Moscow meeting (which is the seventh meeting) were the heads of the companies Altares (France), Bisnode (Sweden-Germany), Informa (Spain-Portugal), Tokyo Shoko Research, Ltd (Japan), Finar Enformasyon (Turkey), and companies from Australia, Indonesia, Israel, Korea, UAE, the Philippines, and a dozens of other countries.

"This is the first annual summit of Dun & Bradstreet Worldwide Network to be held in Russia, which indicates interest in our market and active involvement of our country in global information exchange," said Mikhail Komissar, CEO of Interfax and Interfax-D&B. "Our partners believe Russia has achieved considerable progress in increasing business transparency, which makes it more attractive to investors and gradually lowers the risks of working in our country," said Komissar.

Interfax-D&B, which started working in 2008, has given to all 4 million Russian companies a D-U-N-S number, a kind of an international passport for any business seeking to find partners abroad or reach out to the international market. A D-U-N-S number is a guarantee that foreign partners can find information on any Russian company.
