Interfax, Spain‘s INFORMA D&B sign strategic cooperation agreement

Interfax, a leading Russian news agency, and Spain‘s INFORMA D&B, a member of the Dun & Bradstreet group, the largest global business information network, have signed a strategic cooperation agreement to gather and disseminate first-rate commercial, financial and marketing information on the Russian and Spanish markets.

The agreement was signed on Tuesday, March 3 in the presence of Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, during his state visit to Spain.

The main goal of the partnership is to add more transparency to the Russian and Spanish markets, increasing their investment attractiveness, and to contribute to the development of bilateral economic relations.

Interfax will provide INFORMA D&B clients with information about Russian companies sourced in SPARK, Russia‘s largest database of corporate information, developed by Interfax. This includes details about a company‘s registration, its owners and financial reporting. Clients from Russia and the CIS, for their part, will be able to obtain information about Spanish companies.

Interfax and INFORMA D&B intend to make information available to companies in both Spain and Russia that have mutual interests in large-scale joint projects in leading industries and sectors of the economy.

The partners will organize press-conferences and meetings with clients and potential clients in Madrid, Barcelona and Moscow aimed at promoting services in Spain and Russia, and plan, organize and hold meetings, seminars and round-table discussions.

Interfax and INFORMA D&B intend to promote the strengthening of the transparency and investment appeal of the Russian and Spanish markets, alerting the public to the prospects for expanding bilateral trade and economic ties. Special emphasis will be placed on sectors relating to energy, investment, finances, trade and tourism.
