Interfax opens regional R&D center in Samara

Interfax International Information Services Group has opened its first Research & Development Center in Samara, the main objectives of which will be to research and develop new methods and algorithms for working with Big Data.

"In order to expand the range of IT problems that we solve we need to create new competency centers to explore advanced technologies, not just hire more staff. Samara is the aerospace capital of Russia, with a large number of high-tech businesses and educational institutions that train highly skilled workers for the industry, and we hope that the new R&D division will become a center of growth for the Group," Interfax Group Executive Director Vladimir Gerasimov said.

The Samara R&D Center is a division of Interfax‘s Software Development Center (SDC), which specializes in developing IT solutions in the area of risk management. The R&D Center will develop fundamentally new information products using the latest technologies for working with data.

The SDC also has divisions in Moscow and Voronezh.
