SPARK starts calculating credit limit for companies
SPARK-Interfax releases a new version of SPARK, Version 3.08. When developing the new version, the SPARK team put the main emphasis on the "Portfolio" service and on other credit risk assessment tools. In addition, the system has become faster and its usability has been improved.
The "Portfolio" section underwent the most radical changes in SPARK 3.08. This has been enhanced by the opportunities afforded by the system‘s internal "payment histories bureau" (SPARK Payments Monitoring). Companies exchanging payments information can, for the first time, benefit from a 3D visualization of risks related to their own portfolio, with information about how a given client pays "me", how it settles accounts with other partners and what SPARK knows about it from its own sources. The portfolio enables you to assess how risks are distributed, with due consideration for specific amounts of debt, and thereby to view counterparties through the prism of your own business.
The service grants all SPARK users more opportunities to manage debts receivable and to analyze payments discipline. The "Portfolio" service is visibly more organic and user-friendly.
Also, the analytical opportunities to evaluate the business activity of partners have expanded thanks to the new "Leasing" section. This contains information about lessors, lessees and leased items from the Fedresurs. It is possible to search for an item not only as a pledged asset but also as a leased asset, using a vehicle identification number.
SPARK has started to calculate a credit limit for a company, reflecting the maximum cash amount with which it could potentially credit a partner, based on an automatic analysis of its financial results.
Developing the analytical content, SPARK has introduced a new scoring indicator - a company composite risk indicator, which is an aggregation of the three analytical indicators calculated by SPARK, namely the Payment Discipline Index (PDI), Due Diligence Index (DDI) and Finance Risk Index (FDI). The composite indicator‘s special feature is that it is able to record a company‘s Status, whether it is in liquidation, bankruptcy and so on, enabling a SPARK client to perform a comprehensive risk analysis for an enterprise even if it has a good PDI, DDI or FDI. This new feature enables an more intuitive comparison of the quality of counterparties in the "Selection", "Lists" and "Portfolio" services, where the composite indicator will be reflected by the color code that SPARK clients are accustomed to.
The "Enforcement Actions" section has been supplemented by important new information in the form of data on cases that have been closed because assets featuring in the case could not be located. The section has become visually even more intuitive.
The new version consolidates reporting on the involvement of private individuals in a business, and the opportunity to view current applications to register trademarks with Rospatent has been added to the "Trademarks" section.
The new version optimizes the system‘s response speed. This has made it possible, for example, to speed up the average time to open such a frequently used element of the system as "Company Cards" to 1.5 seconds. In effect, response time is nearly three times faster, while at the same time more and more cards are being opened - the figure now stands at more than 150,000 per day.
Convenience for clients is, as always, at the center of the SPARK team‘s attention. When developing the enhanced usability elements, our analysts and programmers mostly draw on the findings of their own user experience and the feedback of clients.
As a result of feedback, SPARK now gives brief, more comprehensible descriptions of the sectors in which a company is active. The "Settings" are moved to the right, and the "Arbitration Cases" now have tables with annual break-downs.
The "Monitoring" service has also changed, with improved design and commentaries to the settings fields. In addition, the search function when verifying passports has been optimized - now, a number does not have to be entered with a space, as the system will identify an unbroken row of figures.
The new version includes a risk factor for private individuals based on the criterion of "founder/director of more than one legal entity" according to Federal Tax Service data.
Translation into English of the "Selection" service, including all commentaries and tips, is a step towards improving usability for foreign users.
