Finmarket named most citied financial media source in 2013

Medialogia has once more named information agency Finmarket, which is part of the Interfax information group, the most cited media resource in the financial industry. Finmarket has held on to the top spot for several years in a row.

The study shows that Finmarket showed an exceptional result with a citation index of 7,931, significantly ahead of online resources Banki.ru (1,616) and Quote.rbc.ru (1,452), which came in second and third.

Another Interfax online resource - rusbonds.ru, which specializes in information about Russia‘s bond market, also joined the list of the most cited financial sector media resources and was number 15 on the list.

The annual citation index ranking was based on 16,000 of the most influential media sources, including from television, radio, newspapers, magazines, information agencies and online media. The research period was from January 1 to December 31 2013.

Finmarket was established in March 1994. It provides financial and economic information for a wide audience of specialists with an interest in events on the financial markets. The www.finmarket.ru portal set up by the agency is one of the most popular resources on the Russian internet in its category. Finmarket became part of Interfax International Information Group in 2007.
