SPIMEX, Interfax announce regular publication of oil, oil product quotes

Quotes for crude oil and oil products will be available in the information products of Interfax Group, such as the EFIR-Energy terminal and newswires to which Russia‘s largest energy companies and leading media outlets subscribe.
The president of the St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX), Alexei Rybnikov said: "One of the most important roles of the exchange is dissemination of information about prices and trading results. The transactions with energy products and other commodities that are conducted and registered on the exchange are the basis for our price indexes and market indicators. Our approach to establishing benchmarks is to use our own data on actual transactions with spot commodities and process them according to a transparent methodology that continues to evolve in close collaboration with market participants and regulators."
The general director of the Interfax Energy Information Agency, Yury Pogorely said: "The oil products market is one of the most interesting in Russia. Its movements influence many sectors and even the consumer market. We admire the exchange‘s work on creating price indicators that are recognized by the industry and backed by actual transactions, and we are very pleased that our clients now have the opportunity to obtain them firsthand."
Interfax subscribers will have access to the latest information on course of exchange trading and the day‘s trading results for the following commodities: crude oil, summer and winter diesel fuel, Regular-92 and Premium-95 gasoline, jet fuel and fuel oil, as well as information on exchange trading in the Futures sector.
Exchange indexes and regional exchange and OTC indexes will also be provided for the following centers of demand: Moscow, St. Petersburg, Rostov, Samara, Yekaterinburg, Novosibirsk, Irkutsk and Khabarovsk.
The St. Petersburg International Mercantile Exchange (SPIMEX) was registered in May 2008 and obtained a license from the Federal Financial Markets Service of Russia to organize exchange trading in June 2008 (license No. 153, dated June 5, 2008).
