Nikolai Dimchenko Named As General Director of Experian Interfax Bureau of Credit Histories

The Board of Directors of the Experian Interfax bureau of credit histories has decided to name Nikolai Dimchenko as General Director of Experian Interfax.

Dimchenko has been Deputy General Director of Experian Interfax since the start of 2005.
"The decision of the Board of Directors marks the end of the preparatory phase in the operation of the bureau and reflects a considerable increase in the scale of the project," said Mikhail Komissar, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of the Interfax Information Services Group and Chairman of the Board of Experian Interfax. "We expect that Dimchenko will be able to carry out the task of creating an efficient credit bureau, a bureau that meets the needs of our clients."
Vladimir Gerasimov, President of the Interfax Financial and Business News Service, who has headed Experian Interfax until now, will continue to oversee the bureau and remains a member of its Board of Directors.

In 2003-2004, Dimchenko was General Director of the Interfax-Northwest news agency, a division of Interfax Group.
In 1994-2001, he was business representative and then head of the St. Petersburg bureau of the Reuters International Information Organization, and was in charge of Reuters‘ business in northwestern Russia and Belarus.
Afterward he held senior positions in the ATL St. Petersburg and FT Grupp companies.
Dimchenko was born in Moscow on July 30, 1961.
He was trained at the Department of Engineering and Physics of the Tashkent Polytechnic Institute and at the Cherepovets Higher Military School of Radioelectronics, from which he graduated with a gold medal in 1985, being qualified as an engineer and translator.
In 1997, he received the degree of master of business administration from the International Management Institute of St. Petersburg (IMISP).
