Edkham Akbulatov, deputy governor of the territory and chief of the territorial administration‘s economic development and industry department, became the first guest of the Interfax-Siberia press center in Krasnoyarsk opened on April 14.
The Krasnoyarsk office and its press center became the second Interfax-Siberia office in the Siberian federal district. The head office was opened in Novosibirsk at the end of 2003. In addition, Interfax-Siberia runs successful bureaus in Novosibirsk, Irkutsk, Tomsk, Omsk and the Kemerovo regions, in the internal republics of Buryatiya, Khakassia and Tyva and also in the Altai territory.
Interfax-Siberia is planning to open an office and press center in Irkutsk in the near future.
Interfax-Siberia, set up at the end of 2003, is a member of Interfax Information Services international group and specializes in covering events in the Siberian federal district. It runs its own newswire, which reports local and federal news for the mass media, government bodies, companies and banks.
