Interfax-Urals opens new office, press center in Yekaterinburg

Interfax-Urals Information Agency, which is part of the Interfax Information Services Group, has announced the opening of its new office and press center in Yekaterinburg.

"Set up less than two years ago, Interfax-Urals has evolved into the main information channel through which the public in this country and abroad is learning news about the main developments in the Urals Federal District," said Interfax-Urals General Director Mikhail Feigin. "In 2004 we offered our clients new products and services, ambitious plans and long-term projects which logically fit into the Group‘s general strategy. I think, our new office will facilitate their early implementation," Feigin said.
The development of Interfax-Urals is envisioned in Interfax Groups‘ program to reach all Russian regions. Earlier, Interfax-Northwest, Interfax-Volga and Interfax-South agencies were established, and specialized information projects are being implemented under the Interfax brand.
Interfax Urals‘ news office is located in downtown Yekaterinburg at Ul. Lenina, 20-A. The press center, one of the most popular information venues in the Urals Federal District, has also moved into this office.

Interfax-Urals news agency, established at the beginning of 2002, is part of the Interfax Information Services Group. It specializes in covering developments in the Urals Federal District and has its own newswire combining local and federal news for the mass media, state agencies, companies and banks.
Over two years, Interfax-Urals and its reporters have won numerous professional contests and received diplomas and special prizes. In 2003 alone, Interfax-Urals journalists were decorated with awards instituted by the office of the presidential envoy to the Urals Federal District and the Urals chapter of the Media Union, Sverdlovsk region legislative assembly and trade union federation, and Urals Airlines.
