Interfax declared Best News Source on Russia‘s Pension Reform
The Interfax Information Services Group has been declared the best news source in 2003 on the Russian pension reform in a competition among news agencies that was arranged by the FundsHub.ru pension industry portal.The award "For Contribution to Public Information on the Pension Reform" has also been given to individual journalists, officials, market participants, and market experts.
The Interfax group has been extensively covering pension issues since the late 1990s, and recently launched a specialized bulletin, "Pensions and Investment," which deals with the current Russian system where savings formed from pension deductions from wages are invested in business.
The bulletin also carries news on market regulators, the Russian Pension Fund, non-state pension funds, depositaries and managing companies.
It analyzes problems and prospects of the pension reform and the pension savings market.
Interfax is also working to set up a system for the objective assessment of managing companies and non-state pension funds.
