Petroleum Information Agency Marks 10th Anniversary

The Petroleum Information Agency (Interfax-PIA), part of the Interfax news agency, the first specialized provider of analytical information on the petroleum market, will celebrate its 10th anniversary on April 2.

"The agency was launched when a new structure of the market for the oil industry was emerging in Russia, which is why Interfax-PIA reports reflect the entire history of Russia‘s oil industry. Interfax-PIA grew with the industry and has proven its uncontested leader in information. To Interfax, the Petroleum Information Agency is not only one of its most important sub-divisions but also a good-luck charm for future projects in metallurgy, telecommunications and natural gas," Interfax General Director Mikhail Komissar said.
The heads of leading Russian and foreign oil companies, as well as representatives of state agencies and professional industry associations have congratulated Interfax-PIA on the occasion.
The administration of Interfax Group and the Petroleum Information Agency sincerely thank everyone who have greeted it on its anniversary.
The Petroleum Information Agency, which is part of Interfax Information Services, is the largest news service in the Russian energy sector and has been a leader since 1994. Since that time, practically all companies operating in this sector have become Interfax clients.
Interfax-PIA publishes materials targeted at production companies, foreign companies, oil traders and petrochemical enterprises. Besides news, the agency collects statistical and price information, monitors world oil price trends and prepares analytical overviews.
