Interfax Opens Bureau and Press Center in Perm

Interfax-Volga news agency, a member of Interfax Information Services Group, has opened a bureau and press center in Perm.

"The new press center will allow us to significantly expand media coverage of the Perm region and increase the flow of interesting and important information from this strategic area of Russia, which has a high industrial potential," said Alexei Gorshkov, Interfax Deputy General Director.
"Our newsroom is open for the discussion of the most pressing local and national subjects and we expect it to become popular soon among newsmakers and journalists, promoting transparency and encouraging long-term investments in the regional economy," he said.
Oleg Chirkunov, acting Governor of Perm region, said he hopes "the opening of the Interfax press center will become another step in shaping an objective picture of Perm region as an investment-attractive area with a developing economy."
Simultaneously with opening the press center and bureau in Perm, Interfax is launching the Perm Area News newswire. Landmark news will be available for free on the Interfax-Volga website at www.interfax-volga.ru.
The expansion of Interfax-Volga agency is part of the Interfax Group program for energetically expanding in Russia‘s regions.
