Gazprom presents gas hub concept to Ankara

MOSCOW. June 9 (Interfax) - Gazprom has presented a concept for the creation of a gas hub in Turkey and the parameters and principles of its operation to the Turkish side, the Russian gas giant said in its annual report.

"PJSC Gazprom, together with its Turkish partners, has been working out the issue of creating a gas hub in Turkey since October 2022. The Russian side has presented its concept for the creation of the gas hub, and the parameters and principles of its operation," the report said.

President Vladimir Putin proposed last October to build additional gas pipelines to Turkey across the Black Sea and create a gas hub on the border with the European Union that could become an alternative center for setting gas prices in Europe.
