Kazakhstan mulling Eurobond offering in autumn

ASTANA. June 8 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan is considering a Eurobond offering this autumn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Yerlan Zhamaubayev told Interfax.

"We have such plans [to offer Eurobonds]. Summer is definitely not a suitable time, most likely it will be in the autumn. [The size of the issue] will depend on the behavior of the policy rate in summer," Zhamaubayev said on the sidelines of the Astana International forum on Thursday.

The National Bank is due to unveil its next policy rate decision on July 5.

Kazakhstan has $1.5 billion of 30-year Eurobonds issued in July 2015 outstanding.
