Ukrainian and Slovak prime ministers discuss cooperation

MOSCOW. May 25 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal and his Slovak counterpart Ludovit Odor have discussed the development of logistics, border infrastructure and energy cooperation, Ukrainian media said, citing a report on the government's website.

"The head of the Ukrainian government thanked Slovakia for its comprehensive support, including its humanitarian and financial assistance," the report, published on Wednesday, said.

Shmygal and Odor discussed bilateral trade, in particular the export of Ukrainian agricultural products. The Ukrainian prime minister thanked Slovakia for organizing the Solidarity Lanes.

The development of logistics and border infrastructure, energy cooperation and preparations for the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London were also on the agenda of their discussion.

"The construction of new border crossings and reconstruction of existing ones on our common border will have a positive impact and will open up new opportunities for enhanced cooperation," Shmygal said.

Odor, for his part, said that support for Ukraine is a priority of the Slovak government's work and Slovakia will continue to provide all necessary assistance to Ukraine.
