Ukraine receives $132 mln from World Bank under private investments in agriculture program

MOSCOW. May 12 (Interfax) - Ukraine has received a loan of $132 million from the World Bank on May 11, 2023, as a result of the implementation of measures as part of the Accelerating Private Investment in Agriculture Program, Ukrainian media outlets said, citing the Finance Ministry on Friday.

"The attracted funds will enable further maintaining Ukraine's financial stability and compensating for priority spending, in particular, in the agricultural sector in order to improve the situation in the food industry and ensure Ukraine's food security," the press quoted Finance Minister Sergei Marchenko as saying.

The loan funds were received by the general fund of the state budget of Ukraine, the ministry said.
