Turkey hoping for prolongation of Black Sea Grain Initiative - media

ISTANBUL. May 11 (Interfax) - Ankara wants the Black Sea Grain Initiative to continue functioning, Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar said on Thursday.

"We want the grain agreement to be prolonged," the Anadolu agency quoted the minister as saying.

The Defense Ministry, for its part, said on Twitter that the talks on prolonging the grain deal are "positive and constructive."

The initiative's participants have agreed to continue the talks at the technical level.
