Belarusian Finance Ministry places four-year bonds totaling $30 mln ahead of schedule on domestic market

MINSK. May 11 (Interfax) - The Belarusian Finance Ministry has announced completing the additional placement of dollar-denominated 300 series government bonds totaling $30 million on the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange (BCSE).

Government bonds of the issue were fully sold, the Finance Ministry said in a statement.

The Finance Ministry held an auction on the BCSE on April 19 in order to place 300 series government bonds totaling $30 million. Legal entities and individuals submitted 12 applications with rates from 3.5% per annum totaling $13.1 million. Applications for $7.53 million were satisfied upon the results of the auction, which set the yield rate at 4% per annum.

The Finance Ministry then announced the additional placement of the remaining dollar-denominated 300 series government bonds totaling $22.47 million on the BCSE, with the additional placement to take place from April 26 to October 13, 2023, through public offering without an auction.

The bond will yield 4% per annum and mature in 1,435 days on March 24, 2027, and it envisages consistent yield payments with eight interest periods.
