Zelensky proposes Rada extend martial law, general mobilization

MOSCOW. May 2 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has filed bills on the extension of martial law and a general mobilization in Ukraine with the Verkhovna Rada, Ukrainian media reported on Monday with reference to the parliament's website.

The texts of the documents have not yet been publicized.

Parliamentarian Yaroslav Zheleznyak said earlier that martial law and mobilization in Ukraine were likely to be extended for another 90 days, i.e. from May 19 to mid-August 2023.

On February 7, the Rada extended martial law and a general mobilization in Ukraine from February 19, 2023 for another 90 days.
