Armenian PM, European Council president discuss military-political situation in region

YEREVAN. April 26 (Interfax) - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and European Council President Charles Michel have discussed the situation in the Caucasus region and the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiation process.

"The sides exchanged views on the military, political and humanitarian situation in the region. Pashinyan said that Azerbaijani actions in the Lachin corridor are aimed at ethnic cleansing in Nagorno-Karabakh. He stressed the importance of an appropriate response from the international community to Azerbaijan's actions, which undermine regional security," the press service for the Armenian government said.

Pashinyan and Michel also discussed the Armenian-Azerbaijani negotiation process and emphasized the importance of consistent efforts towards ensuring regional peace and stability.
