Moldova buys 24 MWh of gas for first purchase on Romanian exchange

CHISINAU. March 31 (Interfax) - Moldova's Energocom state enterprise purchased 24 MWh of gas for the first time on the Romanian Commodity Exchange, Energocom's press service said.

The cost was 240 Romanian lei (about 48.82 euro) per 1 MWh. The gas will be resold to Moldovan gas supplier Moldovagaz.

Previously, Energocom purchased gas from alternative sources on the basis of tenders in which qualified suppliers could participate.
