Lavrov may attend some UNSC meetings in April - Russian envoy

NEW YORK, UN. March 28 (Interfax) - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is expected to take part in a number of meetings of the United Nations Security Council in April, Russian Permanent Representative to the UN Vasily Nebenzya said.

"We expect Minister Lavrov to arrive and to attend a number of meetings," Nebenzya told reporters.

When asked what events the Russian foreign minister will be present at, Nebenzya said that "it is yet to be decided."

"These will be key events," he said.

Russia will preside over the UN Security Council in April.
