Ukrainian Rada broadens Fyodorov's powers in govt, endorses another two ministerial appointments

MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada has endorsed the appointment of Mikhail Fyodorov to the post of deputy prime minister for innovations and the development of education, science and technologies - digital transformation minister, Ukrainian media said on Tuesday, citing European Solidarity faction MP Alexei Goncharenko.

Fyodorov served as Ukraine's deputy prime minister and digital transformation minister from March 4, 2020 to March 19, 2023.

The Verkhovna Rada also appointed Oksen Lisovy to the post of education and science minister.

Oksen Lisovy previously taught at the Kievo-Mogilyansky academy and held a senior position in the Ukrtelecom management. He headed up the Minor Academy of Sciences National Center in June 2010.

As reported, the parliament supported Sergei Shkarlet's resignation from the post of education and science minister on March 20.

According to Ukrainian media reports, the Verkhovna Rada also appointed Alexander Kamyshin, previously CEO of Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways), as the country's strategic industries minister.
