Russia sees 9,373 new Covid-19 cases, 34 related deaths in past day - HQ
MOSCOW. March 21 (Interfax) - Russia has recorded 9,373 new cases of Covid-19 and 34 related deaths over the past 24 hours, the coronavirus response headquarters said in a statement on Tuesday.
"A total of 9,373 new cases of Covid-19 have been registered and 1,541 patients have been hospitalized over the day, up 152.6% from the previous day," the headquarters said.
The number of hospitalizations due to Covid-19 grew in 74 Russian constituent territories, declined in six, and remained unchanged in five, it said.
The daily morbidity has decreased by 937 cases from 10,310 recorded on Monday.
Thirty-four coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours versus 31 the day before.
"Another 13,345 patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, up 55.3% from March 20," the headquarters said.
Russia's Covid-19 caseload since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 22,525,882, including 396,899 deaths and 21,873,518 recoveries.
