Gazprom completing development of Chayanda field, will reach full design capacity in 2024

MOSCOW. March 16 (Interfax) - The construction of key facilities will be completed at the Chayanda field in Yakutia this year, Gazprom is reporting following a meeting of the board, which heard information on the progress of work on the implementation of the Eastern Gas Program. This will then be reported to the board of directors.

Under discussion is the construction of gas pretreatment unit UPPG-4 and the regular production wells. Taking into account the previously commissioned capacities, this will allow the field to reach its full design capacity of 25 billion cubic meters/year as planned by 2024, the company said.

At the Kovykta field in the Irkutsk region, as part of a phased increase in gas production, it is planned in 2023 to complete the construction of the second integrated gas treatment unit, UKPG-3, new production wells and a central booster compressor station at the existing UKPG-2 unit.

Simultaneously with the development of production capacities, work is underway to increase the throughput capacity of the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. This year, on the gas pipeline section from the Chayanda field to Blagoveshchensk, the construction of loopings, which are pipeline sections laid parallel to the main line, continues. 578 km, or 39% of the design length, have been built. In addition, completion of the construction of secondary compressor shops at a number of existing compressor stations is planned for this year.

The construction of the Amur gas processing plant is continuing. It is intended for the production of additional products from the multicomponent gas of the Chayanda and Kovykta fields. Project implementation status is currently 88.5%.

In addition, Gazprom is systematically developing its Sakhalin gas production center. Specifically, the capacity of the Sakhalin-Khabarovsk-Vladivostok gas pipeline is being expanded and the Kirinskoye field is being further developed.
